Dash

This bundle of joy stole my heart. He was a referral from Striker’s family.

The first day the family brought Dash home I got to meet him. The first few months of his life, I spent a few hours a day working on potty training, play, and basic obedience. He is such a happy guy and the best cuddle buddy.

The more time I got to spend with him the more he was learning. As a trainer, when we are able to develop long-term relationships, we can truly make an impact on both the development of the PUP and the parents.

Dash made me really want a cavalier of my own and I did a lot of research on the breed. Through my research it was becoming apparent that Dash had symptoms of a very common genetic condition in cavaliers called "Syringomyelia" (SM), which is Latin for "cavity within the spinal cord".

It is so important to know the common conditions of the breed you own, so you are informed, aware and can react. He got all fixed up with meds from the neurologist and is doing great!

He has 3 human siblings that love him so much. When they go on vacation, I get to keep him and we video chat with his human family when they start to miss each other. Dash makes everyone smile and is a ray of sunshine. I am so happy, when I get to hangout with him.

Dare to Dash? Oh yes.
