Time to make that good pup a BETTER PUP
-
Walks should be something you both look forward to. We teach your dog to walk calmly beside you, ignore distractions, and come back when called — so you can actually enjoy getting outside together
-
You shouldn't dread coming home or having guests over. We help your dog learn how to settle, greet politely, and understand boundaries — so your house feels calm again.
-
You've said "sit" a hundred times. You've tried YouTube videos and treats. Nothing sticks. We teach your dog to actually respond to you — in the house, outside, and when distractions are everywhere.
-
Puppies are a lot. We help you build the right foundation from the start so you're not undoing bad habits six months from now. You'll feel confident, and your pup will grow into a dog you're proud of.

Our Approach
Reward What You Want
Dogs repeat what works. When we reward the right behavior at the right moment, your dog learns exactly what earns good things — and starts offering those behaviors on their own.
Set Them Up to Succeed
We don't wait for your dog to fail and correct them. We build the environment and the training plan so your dog is in a position to get it right, then build from there.
Build Trust, Not Fear
Nothing is forced. No choke chains, prong collars, or shock. When your dog isn't afraid of getting it wrong, they try harder, learn faster, and actually enjoy training.
All sessions are tailored to what matters most in your dog’s current stage of learning. The basics and beyond are covered depending on your individual PUP. I only utilize the most positive and ethical methods, creating clear communication and confidence between you and your dog.
Training sessions will cover most basic obedience commands, marker words, mechanics of training, socialization, behavior modification, impulse control, loose leash walking, potty training, manners and more.
Sessions are conducted in the least distracting environment to accomplish training goals. For example, beginning training in the PUPs home is a recommended start. PUPs can gain skills to be transferred to new environments such as field trips to dog friendly places. Setting your PUP up for success is key when changing the environment so we can work at an appropriate pace.

Meet your PUP Trainer
Hey there! I’m Roseanna Burnam, and I’ve been helping dogs—and their humans—around Dallas-Fort Worth since 2015. As a proud member of the DFW Positive Dog Trainers Network, I stick to humane, science-backed methods only. My puppy development, obedience, and behavior-modification sessions lean on positive reinforcement and the “least-intrusive” approach, so your furry family member learns through trust, not fear.
I graduated from Texas A&M–Commerce in 2014 with a bachelor’s in elementary education, which means clear communication with both adults and kids is baked into every lesson. No shock collars, prong collars, or punishment—just predictable, reward-based training that builds confidence and a harmonious home.
